Schools in the west end

Four school boards serve this part of Ottawa: two English-language (public and Catholic) and two French-language (public and Catholic). Here is every school in and around the six neighbourhoods, with grades, programs and straight-line distances.

22 schools are in and around the Westboro area: 12 school-board elementary schools, 3 school-board secondary schools and 7 independent or provincial schools. Four boards serve the area: OCDSB and OCSB (English public and Catholic) and CEPEO and CECCE (French public and Catholic). The secondary schools here are Nepean High School (grades 9–12, OCDSB) and Notre Dame High School (grades 7–12, OCSB) and Woodroffe High School (grades 9–12, OCDSB). Catchments are set by address, so confirm a home's designated school with the board.

The six neighbourhoods are served by English-language public schools (Ottawa-Carleton District School Board) and Catholic schools (Ottawa Catholic School Board), plus several independent schools. Both of the area's big high schools, Nepean High School (grades 9–12) and Notre Dame High School (grades 7–12), are in Highland Park.

For French-language education, Centre Jules-Léger, a provincial school, is in Westboro Beach, and the French boards' Charlotte-Lemieux (CEPEO) and Édouard-Bond (CECCE) are just outside the area to the south. Grades and programs below come from each school's own page; where a page didn't say, we leave it blank rather than guess.

Catchments change. Being close to a school does not guarantee a place there. Boards set catchments by address and program, and they change them. Confirm the designated school for a specific address with each board before you buy.
