When will the O-Train west extension open to Westboro?
In March 2026 OC Transpo expected the Line 1 west extension to be handed over to the City in the second quarter of 2027 and to start carrying passengers in the third quarter of 2027. Canada Day 2026 flooding damaged part of the line between New Orchard and Moodie, and OC Transpo has said the extension could open in parts.

CTV reported on March 12, 2026 that the west extension launch was delayed to summer 2027, and on August 5, 2026 that flood damage could mean a partial opening. Treat any date as provisional until OC Transpo confirms it.
Keep in mind. O-Train opening dates are provisional: OC Transpo expected passenger service in Q3 2027 (March 2026), and Canada Day 2026 flooding may mean a staged opening.
